Your Brand, Your Domain: Custom Portals and the February Update

You've spent years building your brand. Your website, your email signature, your client communications—all carefully crafted to project professionalism and trust. Then you send clients to upload sensitive files and the link points to someone else's domain.

It works. But it doesn't feel like yours.

So we fixed it.

Custom Domains for Team Portals

Teams on the Team plan can now serve their upload portals on their own branded domain. Instead of clients visiting our URL, they visit yours. Something like uploads.yourcompany.com or files.yourbrand.io.

Same secure portal. Same encrypted uploads. Same magic link authentication. But now it looks and feels like part of your infrastructure, not ours.

Why This Changes Things

Picture this. You're an accounting firm in the middle of tax season. You send fifty clients the same email: "Please upload your W-2s and expense receipts to our secure portal." If that link points to a third-party domain, you've introduced a moment of hesitation. Is this legitimate? Why am I uploading my social security number to a website I've never heard of?

Now imagine the link is documents.yourfirm.com. No hesitation. No second-guessing. It's clearly yours, clearly intentional, clearly professional.

The security hasn't changed—the portal is still backed by the same encryption, the same compliance features, the same audit logging. But the trust is instant.

Five Minutes to Set Up

Go to your team settings, enter your subdomain, and we'll show you exactly which DNS record to create. Add it to your domain registrar, click "Verify DNS," and we handle the rest—including provisioning and renewing your SSL certificate automatically.

No manual certificate management. No renewal headaches. No security warnings in browsers. Within minutes, your portal is live on your domain. Toggle it on or off anytime. Switch subdomains whenever you want. It just works.

Your clients visit the link, verify their email with a magic link, and upload files securely. Large files chunk automatically. Everything is encrypted and malware-scanned. They never need to create an account or remember a password.

Team Activity Logs

Teams now have a dedicated activity feed. Who downloaded which file. When a client uploaded through the portal. When a share expired. When a team member joined or changed roles.

If you're subject to SOC2 or HIPAA, this is the paper trail auditors ask for—generated automatically, filterable, and always up to date in your team dashboard.

A Redesigned Sharing Experience

We've been rethinking the core sharing and upload experience. Not because it was broken, but because we wanted it to feel more polished. More intentional. More like the kind of tool you'd be proud to put in front of clients.

Cleaner share creation. Simpler download pages. Better upload feedback. The kind of subtle improvements that individually seem small but collectively make everything feel like it was built with care.

Try It Out

If you're on the Team plan, custom domains are available now in your team settings. Enter your subdomain, verify your DNS, and your branded portal is live in minutes.

Not on the Team plan yet? Take a look at what's included and see if it fits how your team works.

Your brand, your domain, your clients' confidence.
